Summer Remembered

Summer Remembered invites you to a quiet moment shaped by memory and nostalgia. Inspired by summers past and the feeling of visiting my grandmother’s Victorian cottage in Stone Harbor at the Jersey shore.  My goal was to capture the warmth of hydrangeas in bloom, weathered fences, salt air, and the timeless comfort of places that stay with us long after we leave them.  Seeing hydrangeas in bloom always brings me back to this place in my mind.

This painting showcases loose brushwork and layered texture to create an atmosphere that feels both familiar and dreamlike.  It's less about a specific place and more about the feeling of remembering summer itself.

Summer Remembered is an 18" x 24" mixed media painting on gallery wrapped canvas.  It can be framed or left unframed as all sides are painted as well.
